A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

here's my photographic contribution to the blog...
a very minor one at that, so I'll try to make it more interesting with my narrations.
anyways, HAPPY VIEWING! =D

Our beloved mama bbqing chicken wings for us. She worked very hard throughout STJ to make sure all of us left with a full tummy. Awhhhh... we love you mama! <3

In contrast, kennsiang refuses to help our overworked mama, and simply stands around to watch our mama cook.

(ok la kidding... He did help to bbq too =D )

In an unconventional and yet novel engagement ceremony, the chivalrous kenn siang publicly expresses his unconditional love for his life-partner, jing bin, by carefully feeding him with a heartwarming stick of roasted marshmallows with melted chocolate.
His life-partner is obviously touched by his actions- just look at how he abandoned the chicken wing from our mama in favour of the marshmallows of love...

Meanwhile, our tired and hungry mama attempts to steal some of kenn siang's love in the form of marshmallows...
The pastor (who, evidently, has just completed the Sheares Bridge Run, and is too lazy to change into his pastor-like robes) happily looks on, with an approving smile on his face... which I'm sure came from the bottom of his heart. ;)

In a sudden, fateful twist of events, jingbin looks over to the pastor and decides that he is more physically attractive than kenn siang, for reasons we cannot comprehend. He hangs his head low to express his utter regret for accepting kenn siang as his life partner earlier on....... chicken wing in hand, as his attempts to remove the ring from a can drink; an impromptu engagement ring.

The ascetic pastor is appalled by the thought that a guy finds him irresistibly attractive (and wants to marry him), and is even more ashamed at the idea of having this homosexual engagement caught on camera. Utilising his superhuman reflexes and lightning-speed, he dashes away from the camera.

Alas, xinyi is good at operating an iphone...

(oh well. In the end, junlin dropped the ring on the floor on purpose, effectively rejecting jingbin's proposal. Jingbin proceeds to propose to Wayne, with mama's question of "Will you marry jingbin?". Unfortunately, Wayne replies with an anticlimatic "No,very itchy.")

Is there such a thing as eternal love in this world? For 08s6c...maybe not.

Pearlynne poses prettily for the camera in her stunning new dress. Chuan khim, in particular, seems to be more impressed by the by-product of her online shopping sprees than the bbq-ed food, judging by his grin.

The apathetic hongyao stares dreamily at the food... yum... Koi fish from the pond bbq-ed to perfection... mmm...

In the background (to the left), the dejected kenn siang searches in vain for a fair bride, in order to anger his unfaithful life-partner, jingbin.

A girl from the junior class works together with wilson to counsel the guy with the most gun wounds in class, linus. An unlikely bullet extricated from his body, which came in the form of a Singapore one-dollar coin, is seen on the handrest.

for some reason, i still stink of bbq smell): although the turnout for yesterday's stj wasnt fantastic, i guess everyone had fun. (especially the people who sang their hearts out, or rather people who tried to sing) i didnt exactly 'interact' with the juniors, was busy breaking chicken bones, playing with the flame & trying to steal kennsiang's chocolate 'fondue' with marshmellow. by the way, he's ultra biased against me. he made one for his angel(which i think is quite dumb), junlin&jingbin(they shared one), and jen! &upon request, he refused to make me one): ohwells. but my ex-pw mate, mingchong made one for me! HAHA. we have this pro-photographer from our junior, whose name i've forgotten. (i should go ask xinyi!) WE NEED TO UPLOAD THE PHOTOS! anyway, i seriously hope no one suffers from food-poisoning, not that our bbq skills suck, but that the flame was too strong so we're just worried "chatah outside, uncooked inside". lol. for me, i love the garlic bread & the crabmeat(: ohya, before i rattle on and forget, thanks to charmaine for her wonderful condo (everyone thinks it really nice! feels so much like a chalet), linus&char for ordering the bbq essentials, char's maid(for running up&down), people who bought the drinks(i cant remember who, sorry!), everyone who bbq-ed, everyone who ate, &everyone who TRIED to entertain us with their songs.

to end off, bbq was fun, but the going home part was terrible. trust me.
i think my flu have just gotten worse from the rain. & the CRAZY truck which ZOOM-ED past us, and turning us into luo4 tang1 ji's. (for the junior class only: luo4 tang1 ji1 means being thoroughly drenched)

Jay Chou rejects the role as Bruce Lee

Owing to tight schedule, Taiwanese pop idol Jay Chou had to decline offer to cast as his own idol, Bruce Lee, in Wong Kar Wai's movie "The Grand Master".

Besides Wong's proposal, Wilson Yip, director of "Ip Man 2" has also specifically named Chou to take on the role as Bruce Lee in his movie; Chou's company JVR Music however commented that they have yet to received Yip's invite.

Chou's heavy involvement as director and male lead actor in his own sci-fi drama production "Panda Heroes" formed part of the reason why he could not take on Wong's movie. On the drama's press conference held in Taipei on Tuesday, he announced that several young artistes from Greater China would be casting in the drama, ~~including his rumored girlfriend Jessie Jiang.~~ "The female lead from Taiwan was decided internally. ____ lecture was boring, so we decided to ponder over a question that had made many of our class people emo these days. (put what u deem fit in the blank)

"What is love?"

We say love is like a game, a game of softball. The different bases are equivalent to the different stages of love. The girl is the pitcher, and we are the batters. Three strikes, and you are out. But don't forget, there are still fielders lurking around trying to get you out of the game. Everything has to go step by step, base by base. If you tell me you're gonna get a home run that easily, i can only say the girl would be a pros. In all, it isn't a game that simple and it's scary.

Two strikes and trembling. Scared to be out and he's closing his eyes. Yet, somehow he feel the game is already over for him. The pitcher is no longer there. But still he do not dare to open his eyes to see, for he do not really wish to see what's coming. He feels like giving up and putting down the bat, for he knows this is a game he will never win.

He closed his eyes when batting, and now his lost. He do not know if he did hit the ball. But, somehow it seems to be a strike.

He swung the bat too quickly, too early when the pitcher haven't even throw the ball. But now, he's trying hard to concentrate to hit that ball and proceed with the game.

He just stood by the side, working as a waterboy. He wants to enter the game, but he just doesn't have the courage to pick up that bat and play. He rather stand by the side and watch. But if he really wants to win, maybe he should try picking up that bat, or he will never gain anything.

This game of softball isn't easy to play and some will regret playing.

Anyway, I want to be a scientist in the future. I want to build a time machine so that we can always try again and again. But there's only one reason for this, we love the pitchers too much.

Hi all, I just found the following "lecture" on youtube. Found it to be an interesting way for lectures to be carried out, although you should ignore the cameraman who just keeps trying to disrupt. The "lecturer" seems very passionate about the topic and maybe we can catch on to some of that passion?

This video touches on the basics we covered in demand and supply (about the curves and their general shape) as well as a little bit on government intervention (in the form of Price Floor and Price Ceilings. Hope it makes economics a whole lot more fun for you guys.

In the report there are two interviews, one with a landlord and another with a tenant. HEY YO :D

Sexy went for CIP at SUNLOVE HOME! on founders day (of course, excluding prize winners :D) Hardworking and studious people like us decided to go back ALL THE WAY to school (FROM BEDOK TO BUKIT TIMAH) just for physics tutorial. Anyway that's not the main point. On the bus, being bored (as usual, especially when the bus ride is freaking one hour long) we started to play a game! (Mainly Linus, Charles, Jianwei, Kennsiang, Lincoln* Wayne & I; the rest of them just plonked to sleep) :D Oh well, we started off with some lame story about a girl looking like Charmaine hanging out in geylang but obviously it couldn't get anywhere because I'm so decent :D

* = {edit} Poor Lincoln was being neglected by me cuz I forgot all about including his name. Quote Linus: "he's like the star of the show and u forgot to put his name in the list of people who played." LOL. {/edit}

Here's our ultra hilarious, and semi-making sense story, word for word (It's like 11 smses worth or sth)

[We started off with everyone saying ONE WORD each, but along the way we decided that THREE words were better, so the first few lines sounds really awkward]

Linus eats dogs that taste very very delicious pooish succulent juicy steaks. But the dogs secreted on Linus's face. Lincoln watched something that resembled a disgusting reflection in glass. He rocks Linus's chair, licks Linus's long smelly noodles like it appealed to gays who don't eat dogs. Charles walked by and stopped for some bubble tea and the famous Wayne S Wang which was packed with retarded morons. Among the crowd, there was Lincoln whose pet rock looked like himself. Ah, just joking. No no no, the pet rock looked much smarter than Lincoln ever was since forever. His pet rock is just imaginary. Hot girls dancing in step up 2 fell into the pool of secretion, to linus's pleasure. Wayne came along, punched Linus's hot, sizzling, yellowish, smoky and squishy hair. He did a war cry, resulting in linus's raging of hormones. He stripped off his smelly, silky, lacy, red bikini which he put on Sally, whose boyfriend is called Lincoln Cheng. What a joke Lincoln Cheng is! We are all laughing at him. In came Charmaine from the previous story about geylang. She hugged Charles and slapped him. They then got excited about it. She asked Charles, would you marry Sally? "Yes!" Charles screamed really excitedly in Lincoln's face which made Lincoln feel very grateful. Kennsiang objected cuz Sally was his great grandmother and Jianwei's lesbian's partner grandfather. Sally passed away, Charles became a lonely deprived widow. Chuan Khim appeared in artemis shirt, howled like a retarded dog's granddaughter. A poster fell from the ceiling and killed everybody.
